Church Offices Closed – EFFECTIVE MARCH 27, 2020
In light of Wake County’s “Stay-at-Home” order issued yesterday afternoon and in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, the church offices are closed as of March 27, 2020 until further notice. This is in addition to the cancellation of other on-campus activities and moving our worship services online.” The staff will be working form home and checking email and postal mail each day. The order does allow us to perform a few key functions, such as recording our weekly worship services.
We encourage all of you to stay at home and follow the guidance given us for your protection and safety. The Lord our God is with us and will see us through. I encourage you to take advantage of this time to draw closer to the Lord through prayer and Bible study. Also, please join us in praying for wisdom and safety for our governing officials, healthcare and public safety workers and other essential personnel that must be out to serve the needs of our community.
In addition to phone and our normal email channels, you may also let our pastoral staff know of prayer requests at [email protected]. We love you all and are praying for each of you to come safely through this difficult time. Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” ESV
With prayers and loving concern,
Pastor George Fox
Are We Having Worship Services at Bethlehem This Weekend?
We will not be gathering in-person at Bethlehem this weekend. Our leadership team, in prayer and careful consideration of the State’s request to avoid gathering in groups larger than 100 people, have decided to forgo gathering in-person for worship services on Sunday, March 15 and Sunday March 22. Instead, we will stream the worship service on our website. You can view the worship services here.
What About Small Groups, Sunday School, Equipping Classes and Other Activities?
At this time, our church leadership has made the decision to cancel all in-person church activities beginning March 13 and continuing through March 27. This timeframe may be extended if necessary.
What is Bethlehem Doing to Respond to COVID-19?
With cases of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) already confirmed in Wake County, we have put together an ad-hoc Health and Safety Response team to monitor the situation and to make decisions concerning both the health and safety of our church family and meeting ongoing spiritual needs. As information changes we will provide updates.
Is Our Church Campus Safe?
At this time, we have no reason to believe that the Bethlehem Campus has been impacted by COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
What About Our Overseas and Domestic Missions Trips?
We have made the decision to cancel our mission trip to Hungary. However, a we have not yet made a final decision at this time regarding any other mission trips. Our leadership team is praying and seeking the Lord’s guidance on how best to handle these trips in addition to monitoring information from local and national authorities regarding travel. As we have more information, we will share it with our church family.
